Beach Essentials

Bullets of sweat racing down your forehead and back, the urge to eat iced drinks and food, and the perpetual need to fan yourself are the top indications of SUMMER. And where do we usually find people in this season? Beaches and resorts.

Girls start to panic. Summer is the season of bikinis, tan lines, and get aways. In short, summer fun.

During this season, I make it a point to have at least one summer get-away with my girlfriends. A summer get-away should be well planned, but sometimes spontaneous is better.

May it be planned or a spur of the moment thing, a girl should always be ready...

Summer get-away must-haves:

• bikini/swimwear - One piece and a solid color works for all body types, all you have to do is check which color suits your skin tone. You can mix this with cute shorts or a scarf around your waist. 

 

• sunscreen for the face and body - You can actually avail this at your local convenience store or pharmacy. they are on different colors, sizes and prices. The main key here is to know how your skin reacts to certain products.

• shampoo, leave on conditioner for the hair (needed when you're out under the sun), soap, toiletries are necessities.  

• undies (cute ones, just in case) - This is the season to use daring, cute and colorful undies, so showing them won't be an embarrassment. 

•  slip-ons - Pretty and simple is the key in finding your right footwear. You have to try it on and imagine it with the rest of your wardrobe. 

• cologne - Make it floral or fruity to match the season.

• blush is needed to avoid looking ashen or pale under the sun. The perfect blush for you will depend on your skin type. 

 

• summer dress - needed when you just want to walk on the beach, browse the kiosks or tiangges, might also be needed when an unexpected party invitation comes up.  

• wide-rimmed hat or scarf for the hair - This is actually a great accessory as well as sun protection. 

 

• sunglasses - an accessory as well as protection for the eyes. Find the right one depending on your face shape.  

When you have all of these, you're ready to go.
